Open Houses for prospective families will be Friday, Monday and Tuesday, February 1, 4 and 5 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. You may drop in anytime during that time.
If you come without your child, you will have more flexibility to go into a classroom and observe. If you have your child with you, you will be able to watch from the hall. If Fairfax County Public Schools are closed due to inclement weather, the Open House will be canceled and you may call about an individual tour. If FCPS has a 2-hour delay, the Open House will be held from 11:30 – 12:30.

For families whose children need to begin preschool now, there are spaces in classes. Please contact us to determine class availability and schedule a visit.2013/2014
Registration forms for 2013-2014 can be downloaded by clicking here and will also be available in the preschool office after Jan. 28.
The completed registration forms, including the non-refundable registration fee may be hand-delivered to the preschool office or mailed to United Christian Parish Preschool, 11508 North Shore Dr., Reston, VA 20190.
Class Placement is done by lottery if any class choices are oversubscribed. The lottery for priority registrants (returning students and children of alumni families or UCP member families) will be held on Tuesday, February 5. Forms must be received before noon on Tuesday, February 5, in order to be eligible for the lottery. The lottery for Community registrations will be held on February 11. Forms must be received before noon on Monday, February 11 in order to be eligible for that lottery. Registration fees are deposited upon receipt. If a child cannot be placed in any of the indicated choices, the fee, minus a $15 processing fee, will be refunded. You will be notified of your child’s acceptance within three business days after the lottery. If you have questions, please call the school.
After the lottery, all registration forms are handled on a first-come, first-served basis.
Class Offering
In order to accommodate all the children safely, children in classes for 3s and 4s arrive by car line at 9:15 and classes for 2-year-olds begin at 9:00. The 2s are walked into the classroom.
All classes for 4s will include Lunch Bunch on Thursday. This is good preparation for the Fairfax County children who will attend full-day kindergarten. The fee for this offering is included in the class fee.
We are also offering our traditional Add-On Lunch Bunch with children from several classes meeting on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. The fee for this activity is paid monthly based on the cost for the year; enrollment is for the entire year. Enrollment is done for the year and payments made on a monthly basis. Children may also enroll in Lunch Bunch during the year and on an occasional basis at $9/session, if space is available.
Financial Aid
Partial scholarships are available for those families who are unable to pay the full cost of Preschool tuition. Please request a scholarship application on the registration form or from the office. The Preschool Advisory Committee will act on the requests in a timely fashion.

Our Preschool does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, gender, national origin, disability or religion in its admission policies. Christian teachings are included in the curriculum.
