Racial Justice


We are a church committed to loving like Jesus, praying for the end of bigotry, standing for justice and joining the movement to dismantle racism. As Christian activists, we are called to advocate for and with historically oppressed communities of color, offer a safe space to have the needed discussions about racial issues, and learn and teach from culture-centered biblical and theological resources. Below are ways we as a community of faith are working to dismantle racism. We invite you to be a part.

CONVERSATIONS IN COLOR PODCAST

Conversations in Color is hosted by UCP’s Pastor Marcus. Many of the episodes focus on racial justice and faith.

BREAKING THE SILENCE

Breaking the Silence, a Justice & Peace Ministry Team (JPMT) ministry, offers a safe environment for participants to share authentic thoughts and feelings without judgment, criticism or condemnation. Through discussion, videos and presentations, the group discusses race from personal perspectives and strategizes ways to bring about equity for all people. Breaking the Silence meets on Mondays at 7 PM on Zoom.
