We seek to help children and their families build a foundation for a lifetime of faith. Children learn about God through age appropriate curriculum in a fun and safe environment.
What To Expect On Your First Visit
We love having children be a part of worship. We believe that the experience for children to worship with their families and with the congregation is an instrumental part of their faith journey. All of our worship services include a special time for children and we reserve a special kids table with fun activities for children. All children 2+ begin their Sunday in the sanctuary.
Nursery (ages 0-2): We are delighted to provide professional care for your child(ren) two years and younger while you attend worship and/or Sunday School. Our nursery is staffed by background-checked and trained personnel. Parents are welcome to stay with their child at first to help get them adjusted to our nursery. If you have any questions on where to go, make sure to stop by the welcome kiosk and a greeter will show you where your child will go.
Godly Play: Godly Play is for children of all ages and helps them become more fully aware of the mystery of God’s presence in their lives. Children hear Bible stories to encourage them to enter into the stories and relate them to their personal experience. Godly Play is offered online and onsite on Sundays at 10:20 AM during the school year. Children attending Godly Play start in the sanctuary and will be led to the Godly Play room by a teacher after the children’s message.
Bible Explorers (age 3-grade 5): Our children’s Sunday School, Bible Explorers, is after worship at 11:15 AM (like our Adult and Youth Sunday School classes). Students are divided up into a class based on their age. In Bible Explorers, children learn the story of God’s love through the scriptures and stories heard in worship.
Children’s Choir: Our children’s choir. Genesis Choir, meets Sundays from 11:55 AM-12:30 PM. Bible Explorers, is after worship at 11:15 AM (like our Adult and Youth Sunday School classes). The Genesis Choir is for children to learn music, song and creative expression. Genesis sings monthly in worship.

The form needs to be completed just one time for the school year (one per family).

Infants and toddlers might want a personal comfort item (like a pacifier or blanket). Otherwise, we provide all the supplies.

In our children’s ministry, we teach Bible lessons and share the Gospel at an age-appropriate level. We want every child to love God and to know that they are loved by God.

Our services include a special message for children and children’s bulletins are posted on our website each week. Messages designed for kids are also posted on our website each week.

Children 2 & younger go to the nursery. All other children start in the sanctuary. A greeter will be glad to assist you with any question you may have.

Yes! UCP Preschool is for children ages 2-5. Classes are half day and parents have the option of enrolling their child(ren) in after-school enrichment programs. Learn more by visiting the UCP Preschool website.

Yes, all people serving with children are background checked and go through orientation to familiarize themselves with our Children’s Policy.

Each summer, we offer a week-long Vacation Bible School program for children (age 4-grade 5).
