Journey through lent with united christian parish
This year, Lent is February 18-April 5. Lent is a season of forty days, not counting Sundays, which begins on Ash Wednesday and ends on Holy Saturday. Lent is when we as Christians focus on Jesus’s journey to the cross and ultimately the resurrection we celebrate on Easter Sunday.
Join us for worship each Sunday during Lent at 10 AM, or explore some other opportunities for you to engage this Lent below.
MESSAGE Series: Tell me something good
Our Lent series, “Tell Me Something Good” focuses on what was central to Jesus’ life and ministry: radical welcome, love for neighbor, care for the vulnerable, nourishment for the hungry, nonviolence in the face of injustice. We hope this series will provide fertile ground for conversation and worship, rooting our hearts and lives in the expansive goodness of God.
This Lent, may the teachings of Jesus lead us forward. Let the good news ground us. And let that good news inspire us to take action in a world desperate to hear, see, and taste what is good.
Join us for worship Sundays at 10 AM.

LENTen Study: The Lord’s Prayer
Most Christians know the Lord’s Prayer by heart. We pray it often, at different times and in different settings. We remember it as the prayer that Jesus taught his disciples. But do we really understand and appreciate the meaning and power of its words, what we ask of God each time we pray it?

Lenten MEditation

BIBLE STUDY
The Gospels are full of stories of Jesus sharing meals with disciples, friends, even tax collectors and Pharisees. Whether multiplying bread to feed a whole crowd, relaxing with his inner circle, or telling curious elites stories about even greater banquets, Jesus imparts wisdom as he shares the wine and grants forgiveness as he distributes the fish. This eight week series will carry us through Lent and provide biblical insights along with thought-provoking queries regarding our own time, such as whom should we invite to Sunday dinner and who is left out and left behind in our culture today.
Bible Study meets Wednesdays, February 4-March 25 , 10 AM, on Zoom. On Wednesday, March 4, Bible Study meets in room 117 and on Zoom. We’d love to get you a copy of the book so you can study along with us. Contact us if you would like a book.
