Meals and Nurturing Nutrition Always (MANNA) addresses food challenges in our community. Each month, the parish holds a service project aimed to alleviate hunger in the area.

In a region where soaring costs often force families to choose between housing and healthy meals, local food donations fill a critical gap. By participating in our hunger initiatives, you directly help provide nourishing food and stability to children, adults, and seniors right in our community

September MANNA Event: Shop at the Reston Farmers Market at Lake Anne on Saturday, September 26, 8 AM to 12 PM to participate in "Nourish Your Neighbor." Representatives from the Cornerstones Food Pantry will be at the market information tent to accept donations of fresh produce. Food pantries rarely receive fresh produce, so your donations are deeply appreciated!

October MANNA Event: Make Cookies for Kairos Prison Ministry: Support the upcoming October Kairos retreat by baking cookies for inmates! Stop by on Kickoff Sunday to pick up instructions, or follow these key guidelines:

• Approved Flavors: Chocolate chip, oatmeal, sugar, or shortbread (no peanut butter)

• Rules: Home-baked only (prepackaged dough is fine); no nuts, fruit, icing, sprinkles, or sugar toppings

• Packaging: Exactly 12 two-inch cookies per bag

• Deadline: Deliver to UCP by October 4

It’s a simple way to extend God’s love beyond our walls as we gather as a church family.
